Regular morning headache sufferers are up to eight times more likely to have a sleep disorder, than those without headaches.
One of the most common sleep disorders is Sleep Apnoea, which interrupts your breathing during the night. Headaches in the morning is a very common symptom.
Other Sleep Apnoea symptoms
If you experience any of the following symptoms alongside morning headaches, then it is likely that Sleep Apnoea could be the cause.
- Excessive daytime tiredness
- Choking or gasping during sleep
- While not a symptom, being overweight, male and aged over 35 all increase the likelihood that you have Sleep Apnoea.
